| With Kucinich Gone, Ron Paul Is Sole Peace Candidate
Do you know the percentage of guns used in crime that were manufactured for the "legitimate" market that Paul wants to protect? One hundred percent! How do I know? Well, when was the last time you heard of a criminal forging a gun barrel in his garage? The second is Paul's hostile and punitive position on immigration. I do not even understand how that is a libertarian position. It's funny how the biggest advocates of "free markets" have a block on this; they do not understand that much of the economic pain caused by globalization and outsourcing happens because capital can freely move across borders but people can't. I also think that Kucinich and whoever wants to be the next Kucinich really needs to figure out how Paul is tapping into the mood of a segment of the electorate and generating a buzz about his campaign (not to mention pulling in an impressive haul of money). And I recognize that perfect candidates are few and far between. But the above two issues are too important for me to overlook, in good conscience.

Sharks Rediscover Home Cooking Against Columbus
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Patrick Rissmiller scored two goals for the first time in his career, and the San Jose Sharks snapped their five-game home winless skid with a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Steve Bernier also scored and Evgeni Nabokov made 21 saves in his 41st start of the season for San Jose, which inexplicably hadn't won at the Shark Tank since Dec. 13. The Sharks have an NHL-low seven home wins midway through the regular season, yet they've remained among the league's elite teams with the best road record in hockey. Sergei Fedorov and Andrew Murray scored third-period goals for the Blue Jackets, who lost in two of their three California stops on a four-game road trip that concludes Tuesday in St. Louis. Pascal Leclaire made 13 saves, but was yanked before the third period in favor of Fredrik Norrena.

Yahoo7 returns to roots
In something of a back-to-the-future about-face, Mr Lund yesterday told Media that rather than cutting staff they would be redeployed to work on email, the search function and a new aggregated news site. "The strategy is simple. We want to make Yahoo7 the first stop for Australians going online," he said. "We can never be everything for everyone but we can certainly be the place where they start. If we're serious about winning then we've got to win in front page, mail, news and search." Yahoo7 is beefing up its search team and is eyeing a January relaunch of the service in an effort to regain ground from Google, which now has more than 85per cent of the Australian market. "Google has a bigger market share in Australia than anywhere else in the world," Mr Lund said. "I'll be throwing the kitchen sink at fixing search.
